Zamil Trade & Services, a division of Zamil Group, is an authorised supplier of equipment and services to Saudi Arabia’s major oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical and utilities companies, with a long track record of successfully partnering with international manufacturers to promote their products in the Kingdom.
The deal is the latest step in Alphastrut’s international expansion plans, after the Scotland-headquartered company opened offices in the key territories of South Korea and Norway.
David Lawson, Managing Director of Alphastrut, said: “We’re delighted to have reached an agreement with Zamil Trade & Services to represent us.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s offshore oil and gas sector has the potential to be a huge market for our innovative product range and Zamil has the expertise and established customer base to help us take advantage of the opportunity.”
Alphastrut’s aluminium support system was developed as a weight-saving solution for the topside modules of North Sea oil and gas platforms.
The fully-bolted system, which requires no welding or hot works for installation or re-configuration, is now in use on BP, Nexen and Aker BP ASA platforms for applications including raised access floors with integrated sub-floor cable containment, overhead service support grids, bulkhead supports, stairs and ramps.
The durable Alphastrut aluminium handrail system was designed for welding-free installation and a low maintenance regime, significantly reducing lifecycle costs.
It is NORSOK approved and features a continuous unobstructed top rail, so there is no need to break hand contact even on corners or stairs, and can be used in both exterior and interior settings in either new-build or retrofit projects.
