Time savings from simple installation
Alphastrut® was awarded a contract via Sembmarine in Lowestoft to design and supply an aluminium raised access flooring system for parts of the offshore living quarters (LQ) module for Nexen’s Golden Eagle project.
A total area of 110 sq/m of Alphastrut flooring was installed, split across two rooms - a main control room and an emergency telecoms room.
Through the use of the aluminium flooring system, the client saved in excess of 30kg per sq/m, providing an overall weight saving of more than three tonnes.
Alphastrut was also chosen for sub-floor cable management supports on the North Sea platform.
